The company “Las Residencias” was looking to rebrand in order to establish a strong presence in the international market by offering alternative accommodations (short-term rentals) in various high-end properties located in Guatemala’s major tourist cities.
First, we recommended a name change since “Las Residencias” is a generic, unregistrable name that hindered the brand’s positioning, especially among foreign audiences. That’s why we settled on the name “Restay,” a word that embodies the concept of “Stay with us, enjoy, and come back.”
For the visual identity, we developed a simple design to highlight the photographs of the properties. Additionally, we created in-property materials such as shampoo and soap dispensers and various magazines that summarize and recommend restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and tourist sites near each property; this is to position the brand and ensure it remains memorable even after the reservation has been made.
