Solution

The conceptualization of this brand is based on the function of a door: to separate spaces, moments, and situations. Therefore, for the name, we sought a Latin word that literally means “door”; however, the story provides deeper meanings for the brand.

While conducting our conceptual research, we discovered Janus, the Roman god of doors—not only in a physical sense, but also in a vital one. He is the god of change, transitions, and transformations, which is why doors and thresholds are dedicated to him. And what is the door to our space if not a gateway to change? We move from the chaos of daily life, work, and traffic to our sanctuary of peace and rest, so this figure was ideal for developing this visual identity.

With this direction, an isotype was developed based on Greek imagery and the representation of Janus; this is accompanied by a logotype written in a consistent and cohesive typeface in lowercase to create balance and make the brand approachable. The selection of colors and finishes for the materials to be produced completes the concept of quality and elegance that the brand needs to convey; and descriptive elements such as the tagline and other information accompanying this identity are added to effectively communicate the company’s line of business.
